North Brabant Kempen Cycle Route

In the North Brabant Kempen, you will experience a cycling day full of natural beauty. You start the route at a car park just outside Luyksgestel. In this small village, you will pass the Grenswachter, a windmill dating from 1891, among other landmarks. A little further on, you will see the Holy Cross Chapel from 1727. Next, it is time for forest. Lots of forest, because you will be cycling through the De Kempen Forest Reserve. From junction 22, you cycle close to the border with Belgium. It is so quiet here that you understand why a considerable amount of butter and tobacco was smuggled here in earlier times. In Hapert, you can enjoy a drink on the terrace at Eetcafe 't Pleintje, after which the route takes you to the Cartierheide. Via the hamlet of Weebosch, you make a shortcut to Bergeijk. Finally, you cycle through the forests of the De Maaij nature reserve.
