Description
During this cycling route, you will explore the southern part of the Grebbe Line between Veenendaal and Rhenen. Discover the rich history and stories of this impressive defensive line. Starting from the Grebbe Line Visitor Centre (TOP Fort aan de Buursteeg), the route takes you along the Valleikanaal and past the Grebbeberg in Rhenen. It was here, during the May days of 1940, that the most famous battle of the Dutch army took place: the Battle of the Grebbeberg.
