A walk around Wessem

The walking route starts at Gasterie De Knip, a cozy catering location on the Maas. Here you can enjoy something delicious with a drink at your leisure. From here you can walk straight into the charming center of Wessem in Limburg. Many monumental buildings can be admired in this old town on the Maas. A large part of the historic buildings has been preserved, so that Wessem enjoys a protected cityscape. You can see here, among other things, the St. Medardus Church, whose origins date back to the tenth century. Just outside the town you walk along the leafy Thornerbeek. You look out on a marina. And on the Meuse, which makes a considerable twist in the landscape here. You will also encounter the beautiful Maasplassen during this walking route. You walk back via Heel and Panheel.
