Cycling tour along Marken and Volendam

A lovely route along (and over!) the water, passing numerous beautiful towns. Marken, Volendam, Monnickendam – you'll be stopping here and there. A beautiful route past typically Dutch spots! Your route starts at atMirror. First, you'll cycle to the Fort near Kwadijk. Along the dike that connects the island to the mainland, you'll cycle to Marken, a typical fishing village with characteristic wooden houses on stilts. You can hear the lapping water of Lake Marken while enjoying the view of all those charming houses on Marken. Then, take the ferry to Volendam, a place you simply must visit. The fishing village is, of course, known for its authentic traditional costumes, so definitely take a look around. Via Uitdam, you'll cycle back to Monnickendam.
