Explore the Brabantse Kempen from Waalre

The Brabantse Kempen are the perfect environment for a trip through nature. You cycle through lush forest areas, along meandering streams and through beautiful villages. That starts at the starting point at the Markt in Waalre. Here you can see some beautiful monumental nineteenth-century buildings. In the hamlet of Loon you pass some characteristic Kempen long-gable farms. On the Dommel you pass the Volmolen, further you pass the Stevertse Molen, a watermill from 1400. Just past Borkel you cycle through the Malpie. Some fens have been created as a fish pond, others have arisen naturally in the stream valley of the Dommel. You pass the ancient Venbergse Watermolen, after which you cycle through Valkenswaard. You drive back to Waalre over a former railway line. Time for a nice meal at Brasserie Meester Keeman.
