Cycling through nature near Panningen and Neer

Around Panningen, you will experience a beautiful day of cycling filled with natural beauty and cultural history. You start the route from the parking lot at the village church in Beringe. The first few kilometers take you through the characteristic Peelland with its vast meadows and fields. Next, you ride through the Heldense Bossen (Heldense Forests). Along the gently undulating path, you will see mainly conifers. From the forest, you descend towards the Maas River. Here you pass through Kessel, a picturesque village where you can see, among other things, the Keverberg Castle ruins. In Neer, you will also see several beautiful monumental buildings and enjoy a delicious meal at De Kompenie Neer. Finally, you ride north again, where, after a short climb, you arrive in Waterbloem, a nature reserve with wet grasslands and mixed forest. You cycle back to Beringe along quiet country roads.
