A beautiful varied route from Didam

Enjoy a delicious meal at Jan & Jan's restaurant, then set off. You'll soon pass the beautiful old village church. Further on, you'll see St. Martin's, a corn mill dating back to 1855. In the surrounding countryside, you'll cycle for miles through a landscape of fields, meadows, hedgerows, and small woods. In Germany, you'll pass through Elten, then through the Emmericher Ward, one of the few remaining natural forests on the Rhine. You'll cross the river via the Rhine Bridge (the longest suspension bridge in Germany). It's a pleasant, peaceful cycle on the German side of the Rhine. Just before Herwen, you'll cycle through the water-rich De Bijland nature reserve. Just before Didam, you can stop for a drink on a pleasant terrace at the Plok food garden.
