Description

The Berkelland is a region around Borculo and Eibergen. For centuries, the soil here has been sodded, which is why you will now find a cozy ash landscape with old wooded banks and lovely streams. It is wonderfully quiet cycling here on car-free roads. Just outside Eibergen you can get off for a delicious meal at Hof van Eckberge. On the Slinge you will pass Boerderijmuseum de Lebbenbrugge, a medieval farm that even played a role in the peace negotiations in Münster, when it was a kind of post office. A little later you will cycle through Landgoed Beekvliet and pass the point where the Slinge flows into the Berkel. Just before Eibergen you will pass the Mallumse Molen from 1748. The route ends with a snack and drink at Grand Café De Klok Patisserie.
