Exploring Eibergen

The Berkel River, charming old villages, charming little museums, and the German Zwillbrocker Venn: there are plenty of unique discoveries on the agenda today! You'll soon pass De Sfeer van Weleer (The Atmosphere of Werelander), a private local history museum housed in an old barn dating back to 1860. A little later, in the charming village of Rekken, you'll see many monumental 19th-century farmhouses. The village itself is also very beautiful, situated on the river. In Germany, you'll cycle past the Zwillbrocker Venn: a remnant of a large raised bog that once stretched far into the Achterhoek region. Just before Eibergen, you'll make a stop at Hof van Eckberge, after which you'll cycle on to the final attraction: Museum De Scheper. Stop by Grand Café De Klok Patisserie for a delicious dinner, a perfect way to end your trip!
