Your route starts at Hotel Restaurant de Koppelpaarden in Lichtenvoorde, a pleasant town in the Achterhoek. In the countryside you immediately experience the typical tranquility of the Achterhoek. This boulder was dragged here in 1874 by 99 shoemakers from Lichtenvoorde in honor of the 25th anniversary of King Willem III's reign.
