In the Achterhoek coulisselandschap you will not only find peace, but also special heritage. Like in the picturesque Ruurlo. Or at Boerderijmuseum de Lebbenbrugge, a centuries-old and beautiful spot on the stream De Slinge.
Zwillbrocker Venn
You head towards the German village of Zwillbrock, here you see the St. Francis Church from 1720. It is the best preserved baroque church in Münsterland. The Zwillbrocker Venn is one of the oldest nature reserves in Germany. A wonderfully unspoilt and quiet spot.
Ruurlo Castle
Get off at De Heikamp for a well-deserved stop. Fancy a delicious pancake? De Heikamp is the Dutch Pancake Baking Champion! Further on you will pass Kasteel Ruurlo, a country estate from 1326. It is now a museum where you can admire paintings by Carel Willink. Ruurlo is a friendly town with a beautiful historic centre. Here you will see, among other things, the fourteenth-century village church. The Achterhoek is so beautiful!
