In the Achterhoek scenic landscape you will not only find peace and quiet, but also special heritage. Such as in picturesque Ruurlo. Or at the Lebbenbrugge Farm Museum, a centuries-old and beautiful spot on the De Slinge stream.
Zwillbrocker Venn
You head towards the German village of Zwillbrock, where you will see the St. Francis Church from 1720. It is the best preserved Baroque church in Münsterland. The Zwillbrocker Venn is one of the oldest nature reserves in Germany. A wonderfully unspoilt and quiet spot.
Ruurlo Castle
Get off at De Heikamp for a well-deserved stopover. Fancy a delicious pancake? De Heikamp is Dutch Pancake Baking Champion! Further on you will pass Ruurlo Castle, a country estate from 1326. Now it is a museum where you can admire paintings by Carel Willink. Ruurlo is a friendly town with a beautiful historic center. Here you will see, among other things, the fourteenth-century Village Church. How beautiful the Achterhoek is!
