Provided by: route.nl
In Noord-Brabant you will still find the peace of yesteryear. This route takes you through the rural area between Roosendaal and Breda. You will pass through many old hamlets, but also through the vast Rucphense Bossen.
Brabant neighborhoods
The first few kilometres you cycle through a landscape of fields, meadows and streams. You regularly pass a tree nursery, occasionally you pass a small forest plot. It is nice and quiet cycling here so close to the border with Belgium. The kilometres pass almost by themselves. You come through old hamlets where time sometimes seems to have stood still. You also cycle a bit through the Lange Gooren and Krochten, an elongated nature reserve consisting of coniferous forests and marshes.
Wallsteijn Estate
Along quiet roads you will arrive in Wallsteijn, an estate where conifers, old oak lanes and farmland surrounded by wooded banks alternate. The neoclassical country house was built around 1810. Further on you will drive through the vast Rucphense Bossen. Take a deep breath and enjoy the fragrant conifers. At Rucphen you will pass the Heimolen, a corn mill from 1844. The route ends at De Menmoerhoeve: time for a drink on a terrace!
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
