Tour of Grotelsche Bos

Your route starts at Brasserie Bravoure. You'll take a lovely long loop through the area around the village of Grotels. You'll also discover the Grotelsche Bos, or Grotels Bos, a beautiful, tranquil forest with plenty of variety. It's also known as Grotelsche Heide. The beautiful Esperloop meanders through the area, flowing into the Snelle Loop. Here, you'll take a pleasant detour to get a good look at the water. Your return walk passes the Aerlesche (or Aarlese) fishpond on the southern edge of the area. The area around the fishpond is being transformed into a recreational area, and the natural environment is also being enhanced with the creation of ponds in the forest. Nature and recreation go hand in hand here!
