Venray, Limburg, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 554398

Cycling in North Limburg guarantees a day of varied natural beauty and cultural history. In Smakt, for example, you'll pass the St. Joseph Chapel from 1699. The chapel was built primarily because churchgoers found the walk to the parish church in Venray too far to attend early mass. At Vierlingsbeek, you'll cross the Meuse River, where you can admire the medieval Oude Toren (Old Tower) in picturesque Oud-Bergen. Along the floodplains, it's a delightful ride to the fourteenth-century Kasteel Well. On the other side of the Meuse, you can take a break at the Wanssum Marina / Cafe van Wieren, after which you'll cycle to Venray via the Geijsteren Estate and Oostrum. In Merselo, you'll pass the Nooit Gedacht corn mill from 1867, before stopping at Camping DenTiel.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
