Description

The Stippelberg is a beautiful nature reserve with two very different faces. With this route you will discover the eastern part, a lovely green estate. The base is the historic village of Milheeze with its special church tower.

Stippelberg
With this route you will discover the surprising surroundings of Milheeze in North Brabant. Nearby you will find the beautiful Stippelberg forest area, named after the many sand hills that dot the landscape. This route runs through the eastern part of De Stippelberg. In this relatively humid part you will see deciduous trees and rhododendrons. This is a real estate, complete with a country house and stately avenues. You might spot a woodpecker or deer!

Milheeze
You walk back towards Milheeze past farms and meadows. This ancient village was first mentioned in the fourteenth century. When you walk past the Sint-Willibrordus Church, pay attention to the tower: it dates from the fifteenth century. The church was built in 1844 on the foundations of an old chapel.
