Walking through historic Noordwijk

From Noordwijk aan Zee to Noordwijk-Binnen
The starting point of this walk is at the Museum Noordwijk in an old farm in the inner dunes. VVV Noordwijk is also located in this museum. Take a look at this museum and learn more about the art, crafts and history of Noordwijk. This museum is located on the edge of the old sea village of Noordwijk. From Noordwijk aan Zee you walk a bit along the coast and then you walk to Noordwijk-Binnen, the old center of Noordwijk. This part of Noordwijk enjoys a protected village view.

Walking along the bulb fields
Via Noordwijk-Binnen you reach the bulb fields on the Leeweg. In spring you will find beautiful flowers in bright colors here. Then you continue through the Leeuwenhorstbos towards Koningin Wilhelmina Boulevard. At junction 13 you can turn right to visit the Atlantic Wall Museum Noordwijk. At the end of the route you will arrive back at Museum Noordwijk and VVV Noordwijk.

The lighthouse of Noordwijk
In the last part of your walk you will pass the Noordwijk lighthouse. This lighthouse was built here in 1921. The lighthouse is only occasionally opened to visitors, for example during the Open Monument Days. If you are lucky, you can view the mill from the inside, but the lighthouse is also beautiful to see from the outside.
