Tour of Zutphen: through Achterhoek and IJsselvallei

Your route starts at Stadshotel & Proeflokaal't Oer. Zutphen is beautifully situated on the IJssel and the backyard of this old town is equally beautiful: the Achterhoek stretches east of the Hanseatic city. You will explore this beautiful area first. You drive past the Warkense Mill from 1878 to the wooded area in the Zutphen - Lochem - Vorden triangle. Old farms, tree-lined avenues, country roads, patches of forest: this is exactly what you imagine in the Achterhoek. Suddenly you are face to face with the IJssel. Touring along the water, you realize that the Netherlands is a real delta area, formed around mighty rivers like these. A little further on, take a look at the Boer Kip Museum: this farmer painted his entire working and living environment!
