Staverden estate and the Speulderbos

The Veluwe is made up of many different sub-areas. Each one is a natural gem. Take the Ermelose Heide, for example. At the sheepfold, you'll find a visitor center, and from the path, you'll have beautiful views over the cultural landscape where the flock grazes. Further on, you'll come across the Staverden Estate, which was built two centuries ago as the beginning of a town. That plan wasn't entirely successful, so Staverden is now officially the smallest town with city rights in the Benelux. Along the edge of the Houtdorperveld, you'll cycle to Garderen, a farming enclave surrounded by forests. You'll cycle through the Speulderbos forest, where the trees seem to dance thanks to their twisted trunks. After a visit to Ermelo, you'll cycle to the end of the route: Camping het Vossenhol.
