Around Beekbergen you can go for a nice walk through the woods, but there are also many special discoveries to be made in the rural countryside. Come explore this special area!
Rural Beekbergen
Around Beekbergen, just below Apeldoorn, it is wonderful to walk. You not only explore the forests for which the Veluwe is known, but also a beautiful rural area: variety is key. The route immediately leads you to that outlying area. The first sight on your route is the Ruitersmolen, with a history dating back to 1606. The mill is located on the Oude Beek, after which Beekbergen is named: the only natural stream in the eastern Veluwe.
Steam train
You walk on to Lieren, where you see another beautiful spot looming ahead of you: the station of the Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij. You may see the historic train. Then you dive into the woods, which slope nicely here. The nice road Konijnenkamp leads you back to Beekbergen between horse pastures.
