Tour of Gein and Vecht

From Muiden you cycle to the nice Weesp, where you can get off at Ons Backhuys. Then you follow the beautiful meandering river `t Gein. You cycle through a landscape of green meadows with grazing cows, dikes lined with pollard willows and elongated plots with old farms. There are so many beautiful old buildings here. Such as the nineteenth-century Fort bij Nigtevecht, now a nature reserve. And the beautiful houses along the river Angstel. But none of them are as beautiful as the thirteenth-century Kasteel Loenersloot, a little further along the route! On the winding Vecht you see many more beautiful country estates. Via Muiderberg you cycle behind the IJsselmeer dike back to your starting point, fully enjoying views over the polder. Variety galore!
