Tour of Gein and Vecht

From Muiden you cycle to the lovely Weesp, where you can get off at Ons Backhuys. Then you follow the beautiful meandering river 't Gein. You drive through a landscape of green meadows with grazing cows, dikes lined with pollard willows and elongated plots of land with old farms. There are so many beautiful old buildings here. Such as the nineteenth-century Fort near Nigtevecht, now a nature reserve. And the beautiful houses along the Angstel river. But none of them are as beautiful as the thirteenth-century Loenersloot Castle, just further along the route! You will see many more beautiful country estates along the winding Vecht. Via Muiderberg you drive back to your starting point behind the IJsselmeerdijk, fully enjoying views over the polder. Variety is key!
