Enjoy a nice rural bike ride along meadows with cows. And a little later you ride over the heath and through the forests. Discover the Veluwe from the Gelderse Vallei for a day full of variety!
Gelderland valley
North of Wageningen you cycle through the Gelderse valley, an open and flat landscape that you might not immediately associate with Gelderland. The lowlands here traditionally consisted of moist blue grassland. Nowadays the meadows are a lot drier and cows graze there. Wonderful rural cycling area!
High Veluwe
Soon the forests of the Veluwe present themselves. You will also see a lot of heathland here, such as in the Planken Wambuis nature reserve. You drive through the nice town of Otterlo to Ede, which you also passed on the way there. Just after Ede you will discover another beautiful estate, around Huis Kernhem. Special: the gardens are designed in both the French and English landscape style. Stately beech avenues always lead back to the house. Beautiful vistas.
