Nice rural cycling along meadows with cows. And a little later you drive over the heath and through the woods. Discover the Veluwe from the Gelderse Valley for a day full of variety!
Gelderland valley
North of Wageningen you drive through the Gelderland valley, an open and flat landscape that you might not easily associate with Gelderland. The lowlands here traditionally consisted of moist blue grassland. Nowadays the meadows are a lot drier and cows graze there. Lovely rural cycling area!
Hoge Veluwe
The forests of the Veluwe soon appear. You will also see a lot of heathland here, such as in the Planken Wambuis nature reserve. You drive through the nice town of Otterlo to Ede, which you also passed on the way there. Just after Ede you will discover another beautiful estate, around Huis Kernhem. Special: the gardens are decorated in both the French and English landscape styles. Stately beech avenues always lead back to the house. Beautiful views.
