Description
It is wonderful to cycle in the Gelderse Vallei, between the Veluwe and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug! Beautiful forests, estates and castles are waiting to be discovered here.
Luntersche Buurtbosch
First you cycle to Lunteren, through the Luntersche Buurtbosch, which was created around 1890 thanks to the estate of notary Van den Ham. In Lunteren itself, you will later drive past the monumental station building from 1902. Even more beautiful is Renswoude Castle, a little further away, where you can walk freely on the estate.
Prattenburg Estate
Renswoude, like the nice town of Veenendaal, is located in the Gelderse Valley. Just below Veenendaal you will discover the beautiful Prattenburg Estate, where you will see an enormous variety of tree species. The avenues emphasize the estate feeling.
