The Achterhoek is a great place to cycle and you can drive into Germany almost unnoticed. A beautiful route through the greenery and past a few nice towns and estates. The German border area is worth exploring!
Dinxperlo You first drive to the border village of Dinxperlo. Here you will find the beautiful St. Liborius Church, the tower dates from 1400. Then you cross the border and drive into Germany. In this sparsely populated border area you drive through a varied landscape of streams, vast meadows and small-scale forests. Enjoy nature in peace and quiet!
Walfort Estate You cycle through the centuries-old Walfort Estate, a beautiful area where you cross the Keizersbeek and Boven-Slinge in quick succession. In Aalten you drive through the picturesque old village center. Here you will see beautiful monuments, such as the twelfth-century Oude Helena Church. In the countryside you pass two flour mills from 1822: the Teunismolen and the Kempermolen.
