From Winterswijk you can easily drive into the scenic landscape of the Achterhoek. Here you cycle on quiet roads through a mosaic of grasslands, ash trees, stream valleys and wooded banks. The landscape here seems to have been specially created for cyclists. At junction 30 you can take a look at Berenschots Watermolen, a seventeenth-century building on the Boven-Slinge. Then you cycle through Bekendelle, a beautiful nature reserve where mainly deciduous trees grow. The Loohuis is an old farm landscape. Here you can stop for a drink and a snack at the cozy Suzie\\\'s Farm. Further on you cycle through Bredevoort, the famous book town. In addition to bookstalls, you will also see some beautiful monumental buildings here. You cycle back to Winterswijk along the Korenburgerveen. In the Freedom Park you will see the Jacobuskerk from 1869 and a boulder from the Ice Age.
