A beautiful tour around Rhenen

In the woods on the Grebbeberg you pass the Grebbeberg military cemetery. Just past junction 24 you drive through the Blauwe Kamer, a rugged nature reserve with flower-rich grasslands, willow forest and swamps. Here you see the ruins of the De Blauwe Kamer brick factory. On the other side of the Lower Rhine, you have a beautiful view of the green Grebbeberg from the dike. You drive through the Betuwe here. And you can see that: there are many fruit orchards along your route. It is wonderful to travel miles here. You can cross the river with a ferry to Elst and drive through the woods onto the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In the picturesque village of Achterberg you will see characteristic monumental farms. The route ends at Paviljoen Rhenen (Bar/Lounge, Restaurant & Hotel) in the woods on the Grebbeberg.
