The Kulturroute is a cycling tour that takes you on a round trip past Hanover, Hildesheim, Elze, Celle and many more places worth visiting. The decor of this trip is further formed by beautiful landscapes and ancient castles that protrude above the landscape. In short, there is plenty to discover on this route.

Ancient structures
The starting point of this route is in Hanover, one of the largest cities in Germany. Hanover has a beautiful historic center and several gardens and parks that you can visit, such as the Herrenhäuser Gärten in Hanover. You then cycle on to Hildesheim, Bad Gandersheim, Elze and Hameln. Before you enter Hameln you can take a look at the Castle of Hämelschenburg and the Weserrenaissance castle Hämelschenburg. Two gems that you should not miss if you are fond of history or architecture. Then it's time to discover the Altstadt von Hameln. This city has become known worldwide through the fairy tale about the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Bückeburg Castle is the next point of interest on the route.

Herzogschloss Celle
You then cycle on to Stadthagen, Schwarmstedt, Celle and finally you end up in Hanover. On the way you can take a look at the last castle on this route: Herzogschloss Celle and at the Bomann-Museum Celle.

Weltvogelpark Walsrode
In addition to all the beautiful castles, this route has another attraction to offer. Close to Walsrode you will find the Weltvogelpark Walsrode. Here you can watch birds from all over the world. Stroll through the rainforest hall, explore Indonesia's unique bird world or take a look at one of the other places in the 240,000 m2 park.

On the mountain slope above the Emmertal, between Hameln and Bad Pyrmont, lies a particularly impressive building of the Weser Renaissance: H? Melschenburg castle is one of the most important cultural monuments in Lower Saxony. An idyllic walk through the castle garden leads you to the mini garden on the windmill island, where artists can still be seen at work.
