The Kulturroute is a bicycle tour that takes you on a round trip along Hanover, Hildesheim, Elze, Celle and many more places that are worth visiting. The backdrop of this trip is further formed by beautiful landscapes and by ancient castles that protrude above the landscape. In short, there is plenty to discover on this route.
The starting point of this route is in Hanover, one of the largest cities in Germany. Hanover has a beautiful historic center and several gardens and parks where you can visit such as the Herrenhäuser Gärten in Hanover. Then you cycle on to Hildesheim, Bad Gandersheim, Elze and Hameln. Before you enter Hameln you can take a look at the Castle of Hämelschenburg and the Weserrenaissancelot Hämelschenburg. Two gems that you should not miss if you are crazy about history or architecture. Then it is time to discover the Altstadt von Hameln. This city has become known worldwide for the fairy tale about the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Bückeburg Castle is the next point of interest on the route.
Then you cycle on to Stadthagen, Schwarmstedt, Celle and finally you end up in Hanover. On the way you can take a look at the last castle on this route: Herzogschloss Celle and the Bomann-Museum Celle.
In addition to all the beautiful castles, this route has another attraction to offer. Near Walsrode you will find the Weltvogelpark Walsrode. Here you can view birds from all over the world. Stroll through the rainforest hall, explore the unique bird world of Indonesia or take a look at one of the other places in the 240,000 m2 park.
