Through the Kampina and the Oisterwijk Forests and Fens

Your route starts at Boshuis Venkraai. In the Kampina you cycle through forests and the vast heathland. In August the heather starts to bloom, so that the heathland changes into a purple sea. There are regular benches at the fens to enjoy the view and the silence. You cycle out of the Kampina to Lennisheuvel, where you cycle past a number of monumental farms of the Kempen long gable type. Just below Haaren you cycle past Kasteel Nemerlaer, which was built in the thirteenth century. In Haaren you see, besides many old farms, also the Oude Toren from 1427. It is almost unimaginable, but the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen were once a vast heathland. Now you can cycle through the forests wonderfully.
