Description
With this route you will discover the Veerse Meer on the Zuid-Beveland side. Along the way you will see nice villages and those typical Zeeland views.
South Beveland
When you start, you first drive further into Zuid-Beveland, looking for the beautiful dikes and nice villages for which this area is known. You cycle through a landscape of meadows, fields, but also many fruit orchards. Just like in other parts of Zeeland, you can get a breath of fresh air in Zuid-Beveland.
Veerse Meer
You cycle back along the Veerse Meer, a real water sports area. From your bike you can see sailors, surfers, water skiers and canoeists. The nice thing about cycling is that you have views here that you cannot reach by car: this gives you a unique view of the Veerse Meer. You will also see a lot of birds, because 5 of the 17 islands in the lake have been declared bird rest areas. Many songbirds live in the forests around the lake, you might even hear them!
