Fancy a nice cross-border route? This cycling tour takes you into Germany through a beautiful green region full of forests. Along the way you will also discover the Mander circles.
Hezinger Es
You drive to the German border, along the Hezinger Es. An es is a high-lying field, typical for sandy soils such as here. In this beautifully sloping area you seem miles away from the Netherlands, you feel that you are already close to Germany.

The beautiful cycling landscape of Twente does not stop at the border: in the German state of Lower Saxony you can also enjoy cycling through a beautiful bocage landscape. Just north of Mander you cross the border again. Get off at the Mandercircles: two round fields that were laid out by one Jannink in the 1930s. You can see the circles better from the air: pilots call them the'Bra van Jannink\\\'!
