Description

Around Vorden you cycle past a number of historic country estates. And you will find plenty of peace and natural beauty. First you drive through a number of connected estates, such as Hoenderkamp and De Berken. Further on you will pass De Kieftskamp. The country retreat dates from 1776 and is owned by the Geldersch Landschap. A proverbial stone's throw away you will come across the estate surrounding Vorden Castle. The moated castle originally dates from the Middle Ages. From the path you can glance at it and fantasize about other times. You can also see beautiful old buildings in Vorden itself, such as the thirteenth-century Village Church. You cycle through the forest to Kranenburg, after which you finally drive through Boswachterij Ruurlo. After getting off you can enjoy a delicious meal at the Heeren van Wolfersveen.
