Your cycle route starts at VVV Utrecht. Utrecht is without a doubt one of the most appealing cities in the Netherlands. You can still see the rich history of the city in the many picturesque buildings along the canals and squares. A beautiful watery route takes you out of the city. Via Nieuwegein you cycle to Vreeswijk and the Lek, where you will pass through the beautiful Park Oudegein, which functions as the green lung of the city. In IJsselstein you imagine yourself in the Middle Ages. Not so strange, because the contours and the street plan of the city center have remained almost unchanged since then.
