Around Ede and Veenendaal, you will experience a bike ride full of natural beauty and cultural history. You can stretch your legs in the Lunterse Buurtbos, and further along you will pass Huis Kernhem; the current country house dates from 1803. Just past Ede, you can catch a glimpse of the eighteenth-century Hoekelum Castle. Just past junction 91, you will see a farm on your right with a strikingly old building standing next to it. This gatehouse is the only remaining vestige of the former Harslo Castle, which stood here from the fourteenth century until 1814. A little later, you cycle past the Bennekomse Meent, a rare nature reserve of species-rich grasslands growing on moist peat soil. Just outside Veenendaal, you pass several fortifications of the Grebbe Line, and you also pass Renswoude Castle. The route ends at Eethuis 't Hek.
