Tour of Liemers and the Hanseatic city of Doesburg

Your route starts at Camping De Waay. Just behind Arnhem you cycle through the Liemers, a beautiful rural region of vast fields, meadows, hedgerows and small forests. You pass through the old city center of Zevenaar. You will find a cozy and historic atmosphere here. At Giesbeek you drive along the Valeplas and along the banks of the IJssel. It is nice and quiet here to travel for miles. The Hanseatic city of Doesburg is one of the few Dutch cities that has been so well preserved. In the old city center you will see many characteristic monumental buildings and beautiful fortifications. In the countryside you will pass through Laag-Keppel and Angerlo, two hamlets where you will see historical sights. Further on you pass Havezate De Luynhorst and De Hoop, a flour mill from 1850.
