Tour of Liemers and Hanseatic City of Doesburg

Just beyond Arnhem, you'll cycle through the Liemers region, a beautiful rural area of expansive fields, meadows, hedgerows, and small woods. You'll pass through the old city center of Zevenaar, where you'll find a charming and historic atmosphere. Near Giesbeek, you'll cycle past the Valeplas lake and along the banks of the IJssel River. It's a wonderfully peaceful place to spend some time. The Hanseatic city of Doesburg is one of the few Dutch cities so beautifully preserved. In the old city center, you'll see many characteristic monumental buildings and beautiful fortifications. In the countryside, you'll pass through Laag-Keppel and Angerlo, two hamlets with historical landmarks. Further on, you'll pass through De Luynhorst Manor and De Hoop, a grain mill dating back to 1850.
