Tour of the Stoutenburg Estate near Amersfoort

East of Amersfoort, take a long walk through the countryside. You'll pass through beautiful, small nature reserves and the Stoutenburg Estate. In the Bloeidaal nature reserve, the landscape is allowed to become overgrown. This creates stunning scenery: you'll see flower-filled meadows, marshland, waving reeds, and gushing streams. Around the small castle, you'll walk through a deciduous forest, dotted with old hedgerows. Further on, you'll walk along the Barneveldse Beek, one of the many streams that converge in this area. You'll also walk along the Asschatterkade, an original eighteenth-century defensive structure that was part of the Grebbe Line.
