Your route starts at IJssalon Clevers Millingen aan de Rijn. A little further on you will discover the Rhine branches in the Gelderse Poort, where the Rhine splits into the Waal and the Pannerdens Kanaal. The area is no longer in contact with the river. The nature is very special due to the seepage water from the Montferland. Camphuysen is an estate from the 14th century, the castle on the estate was built from the 14th to the 16th century. In Germany you will explore the cross-border landscape park Eltenberg-Bergherbos. This ridge with its beautiful forests is located on a moraine that was formed in the penultimate ice age, about two hundred thousand years ago. You drive along the foot of the Eltenberg. In Emmerich am Rhein you will see the longest suspension bridge (1228 meters) in Germany.
