Noordwijkerhout is the starting point of this route. In the city center, you can visit De Witte Kerk (The White Church), dating back to 1300. This beautiful church was destroyed by fire in 1573, but was later restored to its former glory. From here, you'll head to the flower village of Lisse. Surrounded by colorful bulb fields, this village boasts a rich bulb-growing culture. Lisse is known for its world-famous Keukenhof flower garden, the bulb fields, and the De Zwarte Tulp (Black Tulip) museum. In the charming village center, you can relax at one of the many terraces or restaurants you'll find here, such as Brasserie Hemels Lisse.

The Black Tulip Museum
At Museum De Zwarte Tulp in Lisse, you'll find answers to all your questions about bulb cultivation. Explore the interactive exhibitions for all ages and learn more about the region's history, the work in the fields from 100 years ago to the present day, and the science behind developing new tulip varieties. This museum is housed in a building that once served as a bulb shed.
