Cycling along the Noordvliet canal you have a beautiful view of the polders. It is so quiet here that you forget for a moment that you are driving under the proverbial smoke of cities such as Delft and Rotterdam. In Delft you can indulge in the rich cultural history. You drive through the Abtswoudse Bos, after which you cycle through Schipluiden, another picturesque old town! Like good wine, Delft does not need a wreath. It is wonderful to cycle through this pleasant old city. Time enough? Then drive through the old city center with its many monumental buildings.
