Goereese dune route through Stellendam

Stellendam is the youngest village on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee. In the outer harbor you have a beautiful view of the Haringvlietdam with the Haringvliet locks. The De Kwade Hoek nature reserve outside the dike is part of the Dunes of Goeree. Wind, water and tide constantly move the landscape. The Slikken van Flakkee nature reserve is spread over a length of 20 km between Goedereede and Herkingen on the Grevelingenmeer. Mudflats are sandbanks that dry out at low tide and flood at high tide. Heck cattle and Fjord horses graze in the nature reserve. Stop off at the RTM museum near Ouddorp, with a beautiful collection of steam and diesel locomotives, carriages and freight wagons. For example, take a ride on the Brouwersdam with an original steam tram!
