First you loosen your legs while cycling along the river De Alblas. Further on you drive a bit through Alblasserdam, after which you can admire the Kinderdijkse Mills: a mill corridor that is known worldwide. The nineteen mills were built in the eighteenth century to improve the drainage of the Alblasserwaard. The mills have been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997. In picturesque Kinderdijk you cross the Lek with a ferry. You take a tour through Krimpen aan de Lek and the surrounding polder. Cycling along the dikes you have a beautiful view of the old battle landscape. You cross the water again, this time for a ride through Ridderkerk. Finally you drive through Oud-Alblas. The route ends at Vertoeven near Verhoeven.
