A tour of Voornes Duin: the silence of Voorne-Putten

Voornes Duin is one of the most species-rich dune areas in Western Europe. Besides beautiful dunes, you will find flower-rich grasslands,濕 valleys, and dune forests here. Stop briefly at the Tenellaplas visitor center. In the accompanying native plant park, you will find all the biotopes together. On the Brielse Maas, you can see the Stenen Baak, a former lighthouse from 1630 that can be visited at set times. From the road, you have a beautiful view of the ramparts of the renowned town of Brielle. You will pass the Vliegend Hert, a grain mill from 1862. In Vierpolders, you can see the monumental village church from 1721. Just outside Rockanje, you drive through several small nature reserves that have formed around the Strype, an ancient creek. Here you will see flower-rich grasslands and reed beds.
