Tour of Voornes Duin: the silence of Voorne-Putten

Voornes Duin is one of the richest dune areas in Western Europe. In addition to beautiful dunes, you will find flower-rich grasslands, moist valleys and dune forests here. Get off at the Tenellaplas visitor center. In the associated natural park you will find all biotopes together. On the Brielse Maas you will see the Stenen Baak, a former lighthouse from 1630 that can be visited at regular intervals. From the road you have a beautiful view of the fortress belt of the famous town of Brielle. You will pass the Vliegend Hert, a flour mill from 1862. In Vierpolders you will see the monumental village church from 1721. Stop at De IJsboerin for a real farm ice cream! Just outside Rockanje you drive through some nature reserves that have developed around the Strype, an ancient creek. Here you will see flower-rich grasslands and reedlands.
