Walking along the heathlands of the Maasduinen

Your route starts with a cup of coffee at Landgoed Bleijenbeek. Then put on walking shoes for a beautiful tour through the Maasduinen National Park. You will find plenty of peace and quiet in this unique nature reserve. The Maasduinen are river dunes, almost all of which are covered with forest: the only way to protect the fields and meadows from the drifting sand! In this national park you walk through a series of wild forests, patches of heathland and fields. In the middle of the Afferdense Duinen you will pass a twelve-metre high lookout tower. From the top you have a beautiful view. Before you return to your starting point, you will discover the Bleijenbeek Estate nature reserve of the same name. This country estate dates back to the Middle Ages and is located on a sloping river dune.
