Cycling route: 530051
Provided by: Groots Genieten
The route starts in Oudewater, the oldest city in the Green Heart. Here you will see, among other things, the fifteenth-century Grote or St. Michael's Church. The town hall built in 1588 with a Renaissance facade is also a beautiful sight, as is the Waag from 1482. Then you drive many kilometers through the polders along the Hollandse IJssel. What a beautiful area! On the edge of atmospheric Harmelen you will pass Harmelen Castle. The history of this castle goes back to the Middle Ages. You cycle along the Oude Rijn to picturesque Woerden. Here you can admire the fourteenth-century St. Peter's Church and the old town hall from 1501. The castle, which dates from 1417, is also beautiful.
