The route starts in Oudewater, the oldest city in the Groene Hart. Here you will see, among other things, the fifteenth-century Grote or Sint-Michaëlskerk. The town hall with its Renaissance facade, built in 1588, is also a picture, as is the Waag from 1482. Then you cycle many kilometres through the polders along the Hollandse IJssel. What a beautiful area! On the edge of the atmospheric Harmelen you will pass Kasteel Harmelen. The history of this castle goes back to the Middle Ages. Along the Oude Rijn you cycle to the picturesque Woerden. Here you can admire, among other things, the fourteenth-century Petruskerk and the old town hall from 1501. The castle dating from 1417 is also a picture.
