Tour of the Geuldal near Cottessen

Your route starts at Landhotel Inkelshoes, with the beautiful adjacent Holiday Homes Inkelshoes. A little further on you have a beautiful view of Cottessen from the Geuldal. Cottessen was brought into cultivation from the Bellet carre farm that has been here since the thirteenth century. Due to the steep hills, the area was difficult to access for agriculture, so you walk through a centuries-old small-scale cultural landscape of sunken roads, high-stem orchards and monumental half-timbered farms. It seems as if time has stood still here. A feeling that is reinforced when you walk through the Geuldal with its flowery meadows and babbling river. You walk back via Terziet, a hamlet where time seems to have stood still a little. Diependal enjoys a protected village view: you can see beautiful eighteenth-century half-timbered houses here.
