A beautiful walk around Mechelen

Around Mechelen in Limburg, you can enjoy beautiful walks through the green hills and the Geul Valley. You'll find stunning views, invigorating tranquility, and beautiful old buildings. This walk introduces you to authentic South Limburg. You'll walk through the Schweiberger Bos forest under a lush green canopy. As you leave the sloping forest, you'll have lovely vistas of the Geul Valley, Mechelen, and Epen. You'd almost forget you're still in the Netherlands. Diependal is a protected village scene: you'll see beautiful 18th-century half-timbered houses here. Along the Geul River, you'll pass the 18th-century Volmolen (Flutter Mill). Later, grain was ground in the Volmolen. It's a pleasant walk along the Geul. You'll soon arrive back at Hotel Hoeve de Plei, where you can enjoy coffee and fresh pie on the terrace.
