A beautiful walk around Mechelen

You can enjoy beautiful walks through the green hills and the Geul Valley around Mechelen in Limburg. You will find beautiful views, a refreshing tranquility and beautiful old buildings. The walk introduces you to authentic South Limburg. You can walk through the Schweiberger Forest under a fresh green canopy. When you walk out of the slope forest, you have lovely views of the Geuldal, Mechelen and Epen. Here you would almost forget that you are still in the Netherlands. Diependal enjoys a protected village view: you will see beautiful eighteenth-century half-timbered houses here. On the Geul you pass the eighteenth-century Volmolen. Later, grain was milled in the Volmolen. It is nice to walk along the Geul. You will soon return to Hotel Hoeve de Plei where you can enjoy coffee and fresh pie on the terrace.
