Just beyond Austerlitz you can take a trip to the famous Pyramid of Austerlitz. A little later you drive along the Leusderheide to the old Den Treek estate. There used to be a farmhouse here from 1337. In 1807, Huize Den Treek was converted into a real country estate by the new owner. The route passes Woudschoten Hotel & Conference Center for a nice lunch or a cup of coffee. Tip: turn right at junction 2 for the Pyramid of Austerlitz, where you have a beautiful view from the top. This pyramid, built by the French army in 1804, is a tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte. Just like the name of the nearby village: Austerlitz was also a former Czech town where Napoleon won an important battle in 1805.
