Counting rivers at Abcoude

Under the proverbial smoke of Amsterdam you can immerse yourself in the nature around Abcoude. An ideal environment for an invigorating walk. In the polders you will not only find beautiful views, but also wonderful peace and quiet. You walk for a long time on the dike along various rivers: the Winkel, the Holendrecht and the Angstel. This occasionally produces those wonderfully characteristic Dutch pictures, for example at the Nellesteinbrug, Stokkelaarsbrug and the Voetangelbrug. Along the way you will also see some beautiful old farms. At junction 25 you pass Fort aan de Winkel from the Defense Line of Amsterdam. You walk back into Abcoude along the Abcouder Meer.
