Such as the Petruskerk from the first half of the fifteenth century. And the Vier Winden, a corn and hulling mill from 1846. In the countryside you pass the Bolt farm, whose front house dates from 1801. A little further on is Themaheerdt, a farmhouse with Art Deco motifs from 1925.

It's wading up
Mudflat walking is: moving through an unprecedented landscape, in which silence and nature make an overwhelming impression. The views are indescribable, especially when you realize that you can only walk here by the grace of the sea. Every now and then you have to persevere, because sometimes you end up in the mud up to your knees. With a bit of luck you can still see seals while walking. After your trip, it is wonderful to rest your legs and to recuperate at Hotel Waddenweelde.
