Description
Your route starts at Hotel Het Witte Veen. Today you will make a beautiful round along Sleen and Havezathe De Klencke. First you drive into the Sleenerzand, a forest that was planted in the 1930s. At the Brink in Sleen you will pass the impressive monumental town hall from 1938. Take your time to discover this beautiful village and take a break at Stamp en Stoof in Sleen! Havezate De Klencke is a small estate that consists of agricultural land and deciduous forest. The buildings on the estate are centuries old, they date back to the year 1520. In 1961 the estate was bequeathed to the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten. A little further on you drive through Oud-Aalden, an old esdorp with beautiful Saxon farms.
