Aa en Hunze, Drenthe, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 5065854
Provided by: route.nl
Your route starts at Snack- & Eetcafe Eexterhalte. Today you will make a nice round along Papenvoort and Rolde. You will also pass through Eldersloo, a small hamlet. It was first mentioned in 1302, as Heilerslo. To the east of Eldersloo, near the Klaassteen lake, pottery shards and bronze rings were found in 1936. A special idea if you cycle past here. Nijlande is also such a small village, an esdorp. With this route you will also explore streams such as the Andersche Diep, typical of the Drentsche Aa National Park. The Drentsche Aa does not actually exist, only a small part in Groningen is named that way. The entire stream system is called the Drentsche Aa, the side branches are named after their location - such as the Oudemolense Diep, Anlooerdiepje and therefore also the Andersche Diep.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
